Equipo DRT decorates Valencia's MuVIM Museum walls with Saraceno, its new wallpaper collection

25 February 2015

A collection that is rich in details, nuances and weathered finishes, offering seven patterns: three totally new ones and four bestsellers from Equipo DRT, but now with new textures and hues.

Seven designs in seven colours: nature, pearl, doré, silver, steel, bronze and old gold. This innovative proposal from Equipo DRT for its new 2015 wallpaper collection called Saraceno was unveiled at January’s Maison&Objet Paris show, where the company set the stage for finishes with slightly aged looks.

A photo shoot outside the Valencia Museum of the Illustration and Modernity (MuVIM) served to capture the essence of this collection, so full of details and rich nuances, in which texturing makes the designs stand out, in some cases, even generating three-dimensional effects.

The bestsellers from Equipo DRT – Nontroppo, Senso, Agua and Adaggio – have undergone a restyling and recolouring for this new collection, where original options set new trends, incorporating metallic hues such as gold, silver and bronze in different intensities but all enriched with elegance and solemnity.

Three new patterns have also been incorporated in the collection – Saraceno, Barbaro and Cornaro – fully coordinated with the Palladio fabric collection, which completes the firm’s new wallpaper proposals, ready to decorate spaces even as unique and attractive as the walls of the avant-garde MuVIM Museum in Valencia.

The one thing that stands out in this collection is the decorative bravura, uniting past, present and future in one go, as viewable in the collection’s catalogue, which is innovative, practical and conceived for easy selection – step by step, organised by colour, with photos of different backgrounds – and  of course easy enjoyment. It’s wallpaper made easy.

Ovals, geometries or elegant classic vertical stripes are some of the major highlights of this new collection, imbued with a subtle majesty and making classic statements that give tasteful decorative appeal to any wall thanks to their colours and finishes.

All these features make Saraceno an elegant and grandiose wallpaper collection, apart from the the product’s technical characteristics: non-woven, light resistant, easy to remove and semi-washable. For application, it is recommendable to apply glue to the wall only.

Presented to applause last month on the Equipo DRT stand at Maison&Objet Paris, Saraceno is yet another example of a perfect combination of classicism and modernity, with classical patterns answering modern trends in colourways and finishes. Tradition and future, illustration and modernity – a twofold combination ensuring the success of this new wallpaper collection from Equipo DRT.
