Equipo DRT will participate in the Spanish Design Exhibition in Tokyo from December 10 to 12, 2025. Under the theme “Substance: the power of the essential, each of the displayed fabrics will aim to convey the value of what is essential and the creative potential that defines the brand’s collections within the context of contemporary design.
The event, organized by ICEX, will take place at the Embassy of Spain in Japan, located in Minato-ku, Roppongi, 1-3-29, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Admission is free, but advance registration is required.
As the guiding thread of the exhibition, Equipo DRT’s Aya collection, designed by Vicent Martinez, is presented as a synthesis of the concept of “Substance”. Aya stands out for its balance of texture, transparency, and a refined aesthetic that reflects Mediterranean sensitivity. Within the exhibition, Aya becomes a meeting point between textile tradition, contemporary design, and a shared vision between Spain and Japan regarding the beauty of what is essential.
Being present at this international event reinforces Equipo DRT’s commitment to the Asian market, strengthens its growth strategy, and opens new opportunities for collaboration in an environment where material elegance, texture, and innovation are highly appreciated.
An Exhibition Curated by Sioalittle Design
The Japanese company Sioalittle Design Inc., led by Yasuhiro Shiojima—whose established professional career includes interior design projects in Barcelona and participation in large-scale developments such as the design of Camp Nou—is responsible for the overall direction and production of the exhibition. His curatorial approach ensures a meticulous selection of pieces and a staging aligned with the highest standards of contemporary design.
The concept of “Essence” reflects a shared vision between both countries: respect for material textures, appreciation of white space, the beauty of modesty, and a sensitivity to what is essential. Based on this premise, the exhibition offers a meeting point to foster genuine connections between Spanish and Japanese design professionals, promoting synergies, new perspectives, and future collaborations.
